The Alberta Health Services app was the first of its kind when it launched in 2012, allowing people across the province to view real-time estimated wait times for emergency departments and urgent care centres. Today, the app continues to provide wait times for users but has also been expanded to include other important information, including where to go for influenza immunization, advance care planning and local clinic details.
